Question by Phil: What was Tom Watson’s remark about Tiger Woods?
I read a blog that criticized Watson for saying something negative about Tiger. As far as I’m concerned Watson can say whatever he wants to say about the world of golf. Watson is a class act and I’m guessing he probably made a remark about Tiger’s temper tantrums.
I have also always been a Tom Watson fan…….and your right, it did hurt. I felt so bad for him…had to hold back the tears.

Good question. but it was nothing bad. He was discussing the stress of having so many people rooting for you and counting you (as they were for watson during the open) he said he doesnt know how tiger puts up with it all on a weekly basis cause he ‘wins so much’. he simply tipped his hat to him for staying strong in tough times when the gallery is expecting him to do great.

nah, Tom Watson’s didn’t said anything negative about Tiger Woods. He acknowledged what it feel like when you have hundreds people cheering you on to win from one tournament to another. The pressure that he experience must be greater for him because he win so much. He just tip his hat to Tiger and said to him to stay strong.

The short video about how Tom Watson never throw a temper tamper when he hit a bad shot like Tiger Woods. That Watson was gentleman compare to Tiger Woods. who ever put this video together made that claim and not Watson.

His remark was that he doesn’t give a damn about Tiger Woods. Watson was asked after the second-round press conference if it helped to not to have Tiger Woods in the mirror. Watson said something about how he doesn’t get to play Tiger and doesn’t give a damn about Tiger Woods!

He is a 5-time champ playing his heart out at 59 and yet here he is being asked about a guy like Woods, who not only played like a dog but also acted like a JERK to boot. Thumbs up to Tom! He had every right to say that.

The one good thing that has come out of this tournament is that a lot of people seem to have stopped condoning Woods’s behavior. It’s about time! He has a history of this unprofessional and embarrassing conduct.
