Question by bookworm019: What is the most intriguing golf story of the year?
Of all the stories in golf this year, what would you rate as the top story? Would it be someones first time victory on tour? first major winner? One of the many close calls? For me I would have to give it up to the old guy across the pond – Tom Watson. Even though he didn’t win and even though Tiger wasn’t around for the weekend, it’s pretty remarkable that a 59 year old guy had the stamina to go four tough rounds with the young guns. So what’s yours?

I would say Lucas Glover winning the US Open. He beat out all the top golfers in the world as the 800th ranked player , or something like that. Ever since then, he has played incredible.
