there’s alot out there and if you provide a price point not to exceed , we can offer suggestions . If you have a smart phone there are limitless possiblities to a golf gps app, my buddy just got one which gives you 3 courses for free , then 1.99 ea after that. It was within a yd of my skycaddie so much more value!

Upro is great for playing courses you have never played because you get a flyover before you see yardages. Skycaddie is good. I have had both but now use a Bushnell rangefinder. Simple to use and can shoot any spot on the golf course. Depends on what you prefer.
what happened to walking off the distance, calculating the slope, wind, stance, i go crazy with these guys, i think one guy was telling me distance with his cell phone.
You give a GPS to a beginning driver (I’m talking cars) and this person will never learn the roads and be dependent on this device forever, it will lead you astray, it will take you the long way, it won’t allow you to make an illegal U-Turn…but drive you 10miles out of your way to get back on track.
You give a GPS to a beginning golfer and that golfer also becomes dependent of this device that again can lead you astray. A GPS does not always take elevation and slope into consideration, weather changes that make the air denser; ball flight decreased, wind factors and all the other “human” things that we can detect causing a big discrepancy in yardage.
Learn the game, learn your clubs, learn your capabilities, learn consistency, learn feel, learn visualization of distance….then get a GPS to help out, but in the front of you own minds eye….trust your judgment not this device.
When you’re ready, pass on spending a wad and just get a SkyCaddie2, the extra money you shell out for the 3 or 4 is not going to make any difference.
Upro – Hands down
First you get all the functionaity of sky caddie without annual fees
Second you get a lot more if you choose to pay for the advanced features on a per course basis
Third check out this price

109 delivered is a steal
I have one and it is great – I personally like the statistics that it keeps as far as fairways hit, GIR and putts
As well as average distances on a per club basis – historical data on particular rounds etc etc
The Upro is the best
if u are seekin a teacher based off their driving distance you are a fool!
If you are just looking for distances to the center, front and back of the green, then go with an inexpensive basic device. If you want all the bells and whistles, the two that you have listed are both good choices. Keep in mind the download fees. If you are playing a lot of different courses, this can really add up. Also some of the devices with color graphics can be difficult to read in bright sun.
