Question by bhutanboy: What are the best 1 or 2 public or semi private golf courses to play in the Palm Springs area?
I’m not terribly cost sensitive. There will be two guys, both 14 indexes playing. Just want to play on a really nice, fun course, but not PGA West.

Top 5 values in Palm Springs, as found in GOLF MAGAZINE (Feb ’07):

1. Escena Golf Club http://www.escenagolf.com

2. Desert Dunes Golf Club http://www.desertdunesgolf.com

3. Shadow Hills Golf Club http://www.shadowhillsgolfclub.com

4. Tahquitz Creek Golf Resort-Legend Course http://www.tahquitzcreek.com

5. Heritage Palms Golf Club

I’d guess any of these would be fun to play, unless it’s in the middle of the summer. I don’t care how nice the course is, 120-degrees is NEVER fun! Hope this helps.

La Quinta or Indian wells GC in la Quinta, these courses are awesome but pricey, it is worth it and they are beautiful
