Top Flite XL or Golden Bear golf club sets?
Question by J . T .: Top Flite XL or Golden Bear golf club sets?
Saw the Top Flite XL was only 200 bucks. & another Golden Bear set for under 200 as well. I just need a set because me and my buddies get together every once in a while and play, so I just need something cheap/decent quality.
So which would you prefer?

How about the Nicklaus GB Power Draw set for $ 169 the Top Flite set is a good bargain for $ 199, comes with a stand bag. The Prosimmon X30 Hybrid Full Golf Club Package is nice for $ 129 and the Wilson Mens Ultra Hybrid Woods/Irons Set is excellent for $ 179.
I have an older model of Golden Bear clubs and I am fine with them.
Generally, Jack Nicklaus will not lend his name on anything unless its of good quality.
However, the best thing to do is to go to a store that sells both sets and try them out. The big stores generally have a place for you to hit some golf balls.
both of these sets are the cheap versions made by bigger companies (Top Flite = Callaway and Golden Bear = Nicklaus) You would be better off buying a used set with better clubs. The Acuity line at Dicks is decent too though. I got my starter set there.
