I am going to Palm Springs for the Christmas to be at some warm place and to go to Big Bear lake, however i want to try out Golf once .. whats the best place to get some cheap deals and to rent the equipment, haven’t tried playing before and so wouldn’t want to spend a lot to see that i don’t like it much.

Golf’s not exactly a cheap hobby, and things in general are pretty expensive in Palm Springs. However, nice weather makes up for a lot, and you may find out you like it.
Since there are a plethora of golf links in the area, you should just try to Google “Palm Springs Golf Lessons” to see if there is something close to where you are staying. Or you can try the following:

I learned to play golf on a pitch-and-putt (aka ‘par 3′) course in LA, which was not too expensive at all.
Good luck!

The best thing to do would be to call a couple of places. You’ll need a lesson since you’ve never played before. Have fun!
