XL stands for EXTRA LONG! The Top Flite XL has been around for years, it’s always been a distance ball, and it’s always stood for extra long.

This question I see a lot on here is new golfers that are getting clubs often ask this question. I would not recommend any packaged set off the rack. First go to a good golf store PGA superstore, Dick’s sporting good, Golfsmith and get fitted for your clubs. The person at these store can show you your swing speed, and what kind of set would be best for you and then can put together a package for you bases on your budget. You may spend a little extra in the beginning but you will have a set custom fitted for your swing.
