The length is good for a golfer, but did it go straight?
EVERYBODY IS DIFFERENT BECAUSE OF MANY FACTORS. GO TO YOUR LOCAL GOLF COURSE AND ASK THE CLUB PRO.
Seems good to me.
That is very good for your first time out. Keep practicing. My daughter is 15, but has been playing for 4 years. She hits her driver 220 to 240 yards and is playing tournaments and has a weekly lesson and is on the range 3 to 4 times a week.
The key is consistency – knowing where the shot is going, vs. getting carried away on how far it goes.
Good Luck.
Way to go girl!!. If you can hit straight most of the time, do not worry about the distance. It will come with practice and training. NEVER, I repeat NEVER compromise your straightness for distance. Trust me I know. I have developed a wicked slice on my driver trying to add 20 yards to me drive shot. And now it will not go away.
Your question makes little sense. It all depends on how strong, tall , heavy and athletic the 14 year old girl may be. One drive does not a golfer make. Just concentrate on hitting the ball in the middle of the club face each time , develop a swing that is repeatable and distance will increase as you become more proficient at the game.
you mean 160 YARDS right? 160 meters is super far for anyone. And also, that is very good for a beginner. Get lessons, try hard, and you could be good
To the guy above me 160 meters is about 167 yards
So its not super far for anyone.
Btw .. Yea thats sound , just enjoy the game
There’s no such thing as an “average length” for a girl your age. There are so many factors that go into how far you “should” hit a golf ball…height, weight, arm length, physical fitness, etc. The reality is, as you know, everyone grows at their own pace and at age 14 there’s no such thing as a meaningful average…just look around school….tall kids, short kids…kids of every size.
The most important factor now and in your future is timing. And timing comes with experience.
So, what I’d say is that you’re off to a fantastic start…sounds like you’re hitting the ball very well. Keep at it and keep practicing. Think about taking lessons as well.
Work on your form and more distance will come. As you grow and get stronger, even more distance will come….provided you maintain good mechanics!!
Good luck!!
