Question by mcrfreak983: Drive Distance for golf girl?
I am a 16 year old girl and I hit my driver 180 yards and I hit it very straight. I have been playing for 1.5 months. Is that okay for a beginner?

Yes, that is a good distance for a beginner. Most of all, it is straight. In time you will gain more yardage. Good Luck and keep it straight.

That’s perfectly fine, ignoring the fact you’re a girl and 16.
Despite most guys claims to hit it 300 yards etc, in most studies the average drive for a male golfer is really somewhere around the 200yard mark.
However although distance has its place when playing golf, don’t get carried away with this at the expense of everything else. The truly most important stat is scoring average. I would be far more impressed with someone who drove it 200 and scored 72 than someone who drove it 300 and scored 110.
