Lancaster’s Chelsea Dantonio, a seventh-grader who took up golf about 1½ years ago, survived what her coach called “a brutal day for any sport” to post a six-stroke victory in the Section VI girls golf championship at Brookfield Country Club in Clarence on Wednesday.
