5 Responses to Whats The Key To Getting The Golf Ball To Slice Or Draw?

  1. Mike W says:

All of these answers are correct, however you can also slice or fade by changing your grip. Move your right hand over on top of the club for a slice, move your right hand under the club for a fade. Although this works, a professional golfer would tell you that it’s in your stance and swing plane…

well for me, and i have been playing golf for 20 of my 24 years…it is all about feel for me…i will consciously delay my release for a cut and consciously release early for a draw….when pressure is on and i want to make sure, i will open or close my stance and swing along my feet while keeping the club lined up with my target

  3. JS says:

why would you want too know how to slice a ball and by the way to do it dont flip your wrist

  4. golfman1 says:

For a draw, I have a closed stance. In other words, I put my front foot forward toward the ball. This promotes an inside-out swing. For a slice, I have an open stance and move my front foot back.

Down the Line with an Open Clubface= Straight Slice
Down the line with a Closed Clubface= Straight Draw
Outside To In (Over the Top) with Square Postion= A Pull
Outside To In (Over the Top) with Open clubface= Pull Slice
Outside To In (Over the Top) with Closed Clubface= Pull Hook
Inside to Out with a Sqaure cluface= Push
Inside to Out with an Open Clubface= Push Slice
Inside to out with a Closed Clubface= Push Hook
