today i practiced my golf, so anyways i slice terribly need help on my swing PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?
i am using a driver, and when i swing it is horrible slice
i try fixing it by turing the club face before i swing and that seems to help
next i have no power at all when i swing, what can i do to help?
my 3 iron is like a pitching wedge
it goes high in the air then only like 50 yards
can you help at all?

Whenever I have a slicing problem, I go back to the irons (for more control)
Then, at address, I place my left leg back about a foot.
Smooth, short, backswing, extend at impact and turn wrists over.
That should help. Try it on a short iron before you bring out the woods, they are harder to keep control of.
try turning your hips faster and getting them around to hit the ball square at compact. If you are a righty then move your right foot back about a foot and i guarantee it will work!!
Slices, less than wanted power, and high trajectory on a 3 iron indicate the existance of several swing flaws. you can’t fix thes by getting tips here……The one tip that can lead to the answers you seek is lessons from a qualified teching pro. They will be able to observe you swing and give you the corrections to get your game on track.
you must keep the ball in side your left foot when you T off and have a nice and ezy swing keep your driver strait up and follow thew
if ya have by your clubs of the shelf may be they are not your size go to a pro shop and get them made to your size
Well first I would suggest getting a lesson or two, it has certinly helped me as well as lots of practice. A slice generally results from an open club face at impact, one suggestion that was offered to me was to try to hit the ball with the toe of the club, ie rotate your forearms to help close the club face, hope this helps.
If you are right handed aim more to the left.
Ha ha.
Try keeping your right elbow close to your body as you pull the club back, folding it in rather than “flying” it out. – talk to your local PGA pro too.
Pick up Ben Hogan’s book The Fundamentals of Golf, and study it like a preist to the bible.

Try putting more force on the right arm. This may help.
Also, try not to shift your body on the down swing just stay put and forget about the pro lookalike swing turn. Once you swing down and hit straight then you try the body turn.
You might be swinging your club flat on the upswing and then compensating by coming in steep. This would cause you to both slice the ball and hit the ball fat, causing it to go really high like you described.

This is a common problem. My guess is that you have an upright swing plane. When you swing back your whole body lifts up and you move your head to the left. Try leaning your weight to the right before you hit the ball. Think about taking a flat swing more like baseball or softball. Remember you don’t have to take it back really far to hit it really far. It’s all about control and swing speed.
