Golflectual is right on the money.
When I’ve had problems with a hook or slice off the tee with my driver, I adjust my swing plane. A flatter swing plane will produce a draw……..too flat and it will be a hook. A steeper, more upright swing plane will produce a fade……too steep and it will be a slice.
Which one do you do slice or hook? The slice is caused because you body or shoulders are aimed dead left this cause and abrupt takeaway that is to steep int the end you compensate by hitting it dead left or slicing.
With open shoulders it’s difficult to make a centered turn often resulting in weight going to your front foot in your backswing this cause the weight to go to the opposite foot on your downswing. With your weight on your back foot your body stay behind and your arms fling ahead causing bad shots often times hooks pull hooks and tops.
Check your shoulder alignment in relation to your feet keep them about square this influences your balance and swing.
