The golf swing is an athletic movement just like the baseball swing or tennis. Golf is a sport. Having a stable stance is imperative to hitting the ball properly. You can do very little properly if you’re off balance.
Do loads of core exercises to have a stable swing.
You don’t want too many moving parts in your swing. Your head should stay still until after you hit the ball and have completed the follow through. If you move your head back, it changes the plane of the golf swing and it becomes difficult to get solid contact and have tight shot dispersion.
If you do not have stability in your golf swing, then you could or might most usually find your topping or missing the ball when trying to hit.
It really comes down to what the professionals are working on – which is core strength. You’ll see many weak players bodies moving all over the place, like most poor players in any sport- awkward and unbalanced!
Totally agree
Without body stability, you will never develop a solid golf swing. The body must be conditioned properly to achieve these results.Simply practicing the same old bad swing will only give you the same substandard results. To understand the role that your body plays in the golf swing, see below !
