first you need to know that the putter is used on the green. The higer number iron the easier it is to hit the less distance it will go. The really big clubs go the furthest and you use a tee. For your first time grip the club with all ten fingers and keep your hands close together. Also keep your feet parallel with the imaginary line from the ball to your target and stick your butt out. Good luck!

Keep your head down and swing loose.I would advise you to see a pro and learn the basics of the game before you go smacking balls with no purpose. Once you have accomplished developing a swing of sorts, learn the etiquette of the game before you go to a golf course. There are enough players out there who know nothing. We need no more.

First of all, don’t rush your swing. Start slowly and try to send balls where you want. Your swing tempo will decide what kind of golfer you will become.
Second of all, instead of trying to crush the balls, try to hit them softly. You will get the feeling of hitting balls crisply, then you can start a little harder with bigger swing.
