A must try ball,
I wasn’t quite sure what to expect from a “value priced ball” of this level, but thought I would give them a try since I had read good things about them in a Golf Digest review. I was totally amazed at how well these balls performed, not only off the tee but around the greens as well. I believed I gained about 20 yards- not only with my driver but all my irons as well (my swing speed is right about 100 mph). These balls also have great feel coming off the putter as well. I never thought I would switch from the Bridgestone e6 ball which I have played for over a year now, but these have truly made me a believer. Don’t let the name scare you- these are made by Callaway with a Top Flite stamp on them. Give them a try- you won’t regret it!

|Excellent 3 piece for the price,
Used these for the first time this year. Love the distance and feel of the ball. V2 has a much improved cover and scuffs less than the first edition. I will be ordering these again.

|Great feel, even better price,
I’ve been working my way upwards through the Top-Flite product line. As a beginner I was playing the “rock flight” XL balls which are inexpensive as heck but feel hard as a rock when you hit them. Once I got a little better and could play my wedges I moved to the Top-Flite D2 Feel which is a great ball and very affordable. The soft feel of the ball works wonders off a wedge’s face and the “dimple in dimple” cover really does seem to help my drives hang up in the air for a few ticks longer. Last season I moved up one more step to the Gamer V2 and there’s no turning back. It’s got the same Dimple-in-Dimple cover as the D2′s and even better performance around the greens. After playing through a couple dozen Gamers I decided to compare by hitting a box of D2 Feel’s but found the D2′s just didn’t have the same touch around the green that I was used to (and they had been my favorite ball!)
The Gamer V2 has spoiled me with great driving performance, a nice sharp feel off the irons and yet a soft, spin-and-stop behavior on the greens. Every now and then I’ll try one of the fancier balls costing three times as much and I’ve never found anything that plays better than the Gamer V2. So many people are hung up on labels but if what you care about is performance at a great value, this is your ball.
Yesterday I put three in the lake (on the same hole – why do I play this game?) but I never once thought “Oh lord! This is costing me money!” Losing a ball isn’t painful on the wallet but playing with them is great for your scorecard.
