Not a Cure-All,
The Inside Approach will help if you are making a severe over-the-top move on the downswing, but it is still quite possible to slice the ball repeatedly when using this on the range (believe me, I did it). This trainer does not fix hitting the ball with an open clubface, one significant cause of a slice. It is also possible to get the clubhead under the pad but still make a glancing blow at the ball, thus imparting the right to left sidespin. The Inside Approach is a good start if you you have a brutal reverse-pivot over-the-top swing…it will get you moving toward the correct swing path. But for fine-tuning your swing this is not for you. Bottom line: Great for beginners and high handicappers, but if you are shooting in the low 90′s already this probably will not help much.

|ITS SIMPLE AND IT WORKS!,
I bought the Inside Approach to help me battle my slice. I tried everything and worked on my grip, alignment, stance, posture, swing speed, etc. I couldn’t get rid of the dreaded slice. After buying the inside approach I was hesitant to use it and actually made a couple of swings with it and thought “Oh this thing won’t help me, I must have the right swing plane because I am not hitting the pad with my swing.” WRONG! When I finally gave in and tried it my first drive was the longest straightest ball I have ever hit. I figured it was a fluke so I hit 9 more balls and 8 of the nine went straight and long. This thing also got me hitting the ball with the sweet spot of my club! I wish I had tried this thing a long time ago.
One thing to note a couple of people who reviewed this said it would not work if you left the club face open. Well of course it won’t but it still is a helpful tool because you will know that your problem is not coming over the top but rather an open face, which should be easily fixed with a stronger grip.
If you come over the top and chances are good that you do (if you slice) don’t give a second thought to picking one of these up!

|Does what it says it will do,
I wish I would have had this product when I started golfing 20 years ago. It is simple, and it works. You obviously have to understand stance and grip before you use this, but it does work. It also does more than work on curing a slice, that is not my issue, but also works on curing hooks and blocks.
You can use the device in a variety of ways and there are many drills you can try. I am giving this a high rating, because it is simple and it works. It is especially good for me to get my tempo slowed down and the right speed.

November 23, 2010 Update: It is not super durable, if you hit it a few times (which I did) it is easy to break – be forewarned.
