You would have thought by watching the golf world news that Tiger Woods founded golf and did you ever hear of Jack Nicholas, Byron Nelson etc.
x1582: that for the correct spelling on Nicholas at least you still remember him. Its you white liberal blue bloods who cause much of the Tiger frenzy and many of you will not let him join your club.

Maybe because he is one of, if not the best in the game. And, incase you don’t watch other sports, the mass media always talks about current people.

That’s rich. I’d love to watch a golf tournament and have the mass media following Jack Nicklaus (correct spelling) and Byron Nelson, that would be entertaining. We could watch Jack sitting in a chair and watch Byron’s tombstone. Maybe they should follow Bobby Jones and Arnold Palmer too.

Face it, Tiger is the best that there is, may end up being the best ever. TV viewership increases by at least 40% when Tiger plays and is in contention. Viewership = $$$, so follow the money!

    It’s simple. Tiger sells!!
The PGA knows that, the golf world knows that, and any industry associated with golf knows that.
And they will beat it to death until it stops selling. The touring pros love it too because the purses, that used to be obscene, are now boardering on decadent.
