Question by ~ Libby ~: SURVEY (For those that watch News) — What was the Lead Story of the past 24 hours?

For me, it has been the Tiger Woods “thing”

…and this morning, I open-up Yahoo News — and there is Tiger’s face….

I realize that he is a big celebrity, but I am a little upset that these 2 items, took a “back-seat”, as far as amount of coverage & the Lead story –

“4 Police Officers Ambushed in Coffee Shop” –

I hate celebrity news. It’s pathetic that so many Americans actually care about Tiger Woods running into a fire hydrant.

That’s why I’m choosy on where I get my news from as I saw some of those stories on my home page this morning…Tiger Woods was mentioned in there somwhere, but he wasn’t the Lead Story.

Every time I turn on the news here, they keep repeating “Governor pardoned” and “Arkansas” and so on. I think it’s the dem’s just stiring up trouble for the next election.

My theory is the old “Don’t pay any attention to the man behind the curtain”. Bogus issues are selected so we think that health care is no longer an issue, never mind Afghanistan or the economy. Propaganda. I refuse to let my tv or computer give ‘those stations’ any air time. It may be silly on my part but it makes me feel better.

MA: I am but the only thing you can do is stop watching and get your news from somewhere else. Hell it was the lead in sports coverage too. National news is totally tabloid.
