Question by Johnny Diaz: How to prove myself a good Quarterback?
Yesterday at football practice our starter at quarterback had to leave, so i asked if I can quarterback and of course i get denied so I picked up a ball and starting throw perfect spiral forty yard passes to my favorite wide Receiver and still all the coach said “i can get a hole in one, But I’m still no tiger woods.” I know how to read a Defense and the Blitz and Coverage i believe my only problem is i always eye down my favorite Wide receiver instead of passing it to someone else.

reading the D is a GREAT start. Most Qbs think about the D last. If You know where your fav WR. look elsewhere first. Check downs are the best way to extend the chains or a drive. Also reading D, audible the play. Next time read the D, and let Coach know what would be the best audible for that situation.
Don’t worry about Coach. Some people suck at coaching players. That’s what he’s there. To coach players.

ego, throwing to 1 wide receiver and thinking you’re throwing “PERFECT” spiral and you can read the defense perfectly will bring you no where, if you can read the defense perfectly, you should have 0 interceptions for the whole season

plus, arm strength is just for showing off, jamarcus russell has one of the biggest arms in the whole league, he’s 6’6 and pretty heavy (not sure how much) but he’s awareness is like 0

all you need to work on is knowing more plays, and even if you’re cocky and think you’re the best then keep it to yourself, also start passing to other people if they get open
