Forest district buys member’s family’s golf course (Chicago Tribune)
The Tribune’s Clout Street blog reports: The Cook County Forest Preserve Board today agreed to pay the family of one of its own members nearly $5.75 million to buy a 56-acre golf course just east of Elgin . The purchase of the Rolling Knolls Country Club didn’t come on a unanimous vote, however
